Dorado Fishing

Northern Patagonia offers countless opportunities for fishermen looking for thrills and a new landscape. The many rivers, streams and lakes will let you try all kinds of fishing techniques.
It's a great place for fly fishing throughout the mid-November to mid-April season as well as for bait fishing.

Close to the Iguazu Falls in a region located between Paraguay and Argentina you will find a wide variety of salmonids. The most well-known is the "Dorado" also called golden salmon.

To the north-east of Argentina the Corrientes Province has both a magnificent natural ecosystem and spectacular sport fishing available.

A vast zone over 12,000km2 lies between the Parana and Uruguay rivers. Many different species of fish live in this transparent water, including Dorados or Pirayu (golden fish in Guarani dialect) which are excellent targets for fly fishermen.
